Ku-band Scatterometer

The Ku-band Scatterometer is an active sensor operating in the 12-18 GHz frequency range. It is a radar system that measures backscatter, typically to determine wind speed and direction. It is commonly used to monitor ocean surface winds, snow and ice, and precipitation.
